Sanders Mother Dies in Lubbock Funeral Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Liff Sanders 80 mother of Eldon A Sanders of Childress were held at 10 a m at the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock. She had been in ill health over a year and died at 445 a m Tuesday in Lubbock. Survivors also include her husband.

ee Vee Farmer Dies In Bus and Tractor Crash
46 year old Ward Terry of the CeeVee community was killed when his tractor overturned on the Paducah highway 15 miles south of Childress and was struck by an Abilene Motor Coaches bus. The bus and tractor both traveled north. no bus passengers were injured. Terry died at Childress General Hospital after admission by ambulance. Survivors include his widow, two sons, his mother, a sister, and a brother, all of Cee Wee. Horace G. Aaron of Abilene was the bus driver.

London pilot John Walter Hackett and navigator Peter Moneypenny set a record around trip London to New York and back in a Canberra bomber.
