Shipping at Turlock reflects imperfect fruit handling
Paul Nye notes the end of shipping with about 300 tons of dried fruit shipped last month, more poultry sent in November, and weak cantaloupe results. Watermelon growers are organized, a salting station for cucumbers is hoped to be built, and better grading and packing could revive cantaloupe fields.
