About 200 insurgent members of 65 of the 130 Ideals of the United Mine Workers district No 21 voted to defy President Wilson. Nashville Tenn Sept 1 By a 17 to 8 vote the Tennessee Senate refused to reverse ratification of the federal suffrage amendment. The senate’s action upheld the earlier ratification despite a House attempt to return the matter for reconsideration.
