The east half of the unfinished Lyman Reservoir dam on the center Fork of Black's Fork broke Sunday. Damage is estimated at 1000 to 1500 dollars. Joseph W. Field George Mackner and John T. Field investigated and blamed water washing a sandy hill for undermining the dam until the cement culvert was exposed. The structure, begun last fall, was halted by winter weather. a large spillway runoff contributed to the break. The dam will be rebuilt this summer.
