Clerks will assist filers and the office will stay open until midnight Monday to receive returns before the deadline. Daily income tax payments have topped $100000 recently.
Berlin awoke to a military coup led by Dr. Wolfgang Kapp who ousted Chancellor Bauer and installed a new regime. President Ebert’s government fled to Dresden, while Berlin forces and naval brigades occupy the capital. Officials deny monarchist aims, yet mass strikes and counter measures loom as Hindenburg may be urged for imperial presidency.
In Karlsruhe Raden rejects the Berlin administration and vows to back its own government. General Von Devans calls for popular support to preserve the republic as enemy occupation looms. In Cologne Ruhr workers oppose a general strike while Munster garrison stays loyal to the old government. Berlin Chancellor Kapp pledges to honor the peace treaty without self-destruction.
Lincoln Neb March 13 William J Bryan says he will not seek the Democratic presidential nomination and hopes to aid progressive Democrats by going to the national convention as a delegate to oppose reactionaries and the saloon. He cites duty to country and to family and hopes no wartime demand for his nomination arises. He plans to support younger leaders and continue public questions with reduced public life duties.
Cheyenne High School defeated Wheatland High School 24 to 22 in a hard fought local gym game. Cheyenne battled back to avenge a recent Wheatland win in a close, spirited matchup.
Denver police report Peterson's gun shop at 1431 Lawrence street was robbed last week. A revengeful proprietor rigged a powder and salt loaded trap at the door. Patrolman Lawrence Estelle, responds to an unlocked door, triggers the trap and fires into darkness, prompting a riot call.

P M Rodriguez a prominent Cheyenne Mexican settler and Latin club president was arrested after Cheyenne police received a photograph and notice that he was wanted in New Mexico on a felony charge. He has resided in Cheyenne for months and played a major role in local Mexican affairs. The New Mexico communication did not specify the charge.

London reports Hert Noske minister of defense in the Ebert government has surrendered to the new government. The move comes as Berlin communications confirm Noske's change of allegiance amid the upheaval surrounding the rebel authorities.
