A Wednesday afternoon rodeo at Frontier Park wowed spectators with wilder than ever wild horses and rampaging steers. Shorty Kelso timed a steer in 15 seconds while Hugh Strickland from Fort Worth roped two steers in 29 and 27 seconds, nearing Cheyenne Frontier Day marks.
Arapahoe Indians from the Wind River reservation staged a tribal Dance of the Firelight and Full Moon north of Cheyenne. Firelight, moonlit sky, and tom-tom chants framed a rhythmic wolf-like dance in a circle around a central blaze.
Frontier program announces a parade at 10 a m on Capitol avenue. At 1 p m wild west sports take place at Frontier Park. At 8 p m Indian dances and band concerts occur in the business district with a street carnival and open air dancing.

New York July 28 Aroused by a scuffle between a hotel guest and an alleged burglar in the Waldorf Astoria Governor Edwin P Morrow of Kentucky rushed from his room and helped overpower the intruder who fought to escape the struggle was witnessed by guests and staff as the intruder was subdued and taken into custody
The Aero Club of America outlined the National Airplane race for the Pulitzer trophy and cash prizes to be held in October or early November. The route follows the U S air mail corridor from New York to San Francisco, with entrants likely including pilots who compete in the September international race in France.

David Miller Wyoming's oldest jeweler, planning retirement next month, was robbed at noon of $1 200 worth of diamond rings by two strangers posing as customers. One man 5 ft 5 in, about 80, wore light suit and straw hat. the other 5 ft 8 in, about 30, wearing no coat or vest, ruddy complexion. Twenty five diamond rings and five deep colored topaz rings valued at unknown. No arrests yet. theft reported to sheriff and police.
Senator Harding sent a telegraphic congratulation from Marion Ohio praising the Resolute's victory in international races and noting the American pride in defeating a strong foe. The letter also references Lipton and the America's Cup as a symbol of Anglo American goodwill. A separate note from L G Bohnrich urges Harding support and criticizes the Wilson administration for undermining democracy.

Alfred Mercer, an employee of Englestone Lime Company, died Wednesday at the company quarry near Horse Creek when a large rock fell from a height crushing him. His body was taken to Cheyenne and then to Bricker Brothers. the coroner's inquest will be held in Bricker parlors.

U S Attorney Gallagher ordered federal and county scrutiny to test solvency and possible violations of federal law. Ponzi reported $8 million in liabilities with $13 million available. crowds rushed to withdraw funds and collect on matured notes.
