Fall Fatal to Jack O'Conner at Old Arcade

He suffered a skull fracture and died fifteen minutes later at a hospital without regaining consciousness. Death Toll From Mine Magazine Explosion Near Kemmerer
Four men died and four more likely will perish after a powder magazine exploded at Sublet No 6 mine of the Kemmerer Coal Co twelve miles north of Kemmerer at 4 45 PM Monday. The magazine keeper was killed instantly and two Japanese and a Korean died after arriving at a hospital. Four other workers are gravely injured with death expected within hours. The cause remains unknown.

Airplane mail to start soon on transcontinental route
Washington July 27 Air mail service from New York to San Francisco is set to begin in the first week of September.
