Spectra Energy to Invest 4-6 Billion More in B C
Spectra Energy plans to add 4 to 6 billion dollars of investment in British Columbia beyond its 2009 to 2013 expansion. The programs include two new natural gas processing facilities in northeast B C and expanded gas transmission, with over 1,350 construction jobs and 120 million in contracts to First Nations and provincial contractors. The company now pays 64 million annually in property taxes, and Doug Bloom notes alignment with B C LNG strategies and ongoing growth in the province’s energy sector.
