Suska Coal Project Pre-Feasibility Study Investment
The Suska Coal Project between Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd in British Columbia will undergo a $35 million pre-feasibility study. Xstrata Coal Canada joins JX Nippon Oil & Energy to advance exploration and environmental assessments as part of a joint venture announced in Tokyo during Premier Christy Clark's trade mission. The study aims for completion in the first half of 2013, leading to a detailed feasibility phase and approvals.
