Ground breaking release to replenish Moberly Lake trout
More than 14,300 lake trout were released at Moberly Lake on May 23 to aid a declining population. The count hovered around 300 before the release, with plans for two more 14,000 trout drops over six years aiming for a survival estimate of 5,000. Brendon Anderson, fisheries biologist, called it groundbreaking.
