Adoption Assistance for Special Needs Children
As of March 1, 1990, financial aid will help families adopt children with special needs. Adoption support covers ongoing treatment, therapies, and maintenance to secure stable homes. Eligible are children under guardianship with disabilities or high risk, older children, sibling groups, and those whose caregivers cannot afford adoption. Assistance may include maintenance payments and services for current and future needs up to age 19.
