Indoor gardeners away for a few days should water thoroughly before leaving. Group plants in cold rooms away from sun and place on moist pebbles or in moist peat. For longer trips, use self watering wicks or capillary mats, avoid clay pots unless a wick is added. Cover pots with plastic bags and support with stakes to lock in moisture. Store in cool spaces and avoid direct sunlight.
