Derailment Halts BC Rail Line Near Prince George
Crews quickly reopened the British Columbia Rail line 30 kilometers north of a Prince George area city after a derailment Saturday evening. Ten cars of an eighty car southbound freight derailed at mile 481.3, four LPG, three gasoline, three diesel railcars affected, with no injuries. A dam contained most fuel spill, track cleared by Monday morning, cause unknown. About six trains delayed in the Northern area.

Twidwell Bend Bridge Opens in Northeast Highway Link
The Twidwell Bend Bridge on the Ridge to Prince Robertport route was officially opened on July 13 in a ribbon cutting led by Hon. Don Phillips and Hon. Alex Fraser. ICBC reports 1982 Autoplan surplus and premiums
