Fire Department Defends Street Cleaning Practices
A letter from the Chetwynd Volunteer Fire Department objects to a July 5 article by A. Chutnik. It states the two month activity near Bank of Commerce and Department Store used hydrants for hose laying and pumping, with street washing incidental and done off street for safety. The writer urges reporting accuracy and suggests residents first voice complaints to the department or village.
