Bissette Creek Bridge Opens Safely Between Dawson Creek and Pouce Coupe
The new Bissette Creek Bridge on Highway 2 replaces a 1965 wooden structure with steel and concrete, adding a bike lane and pedestrian walkway. Ruskin Construction Ltd. earned a $3 million contract to demolish parts of the old bridge, with work finishing June 5 2010. The upgrade improves crossroad safety for oil and gas workers and local residents and moves Pouce Coupe Park entrance 25 metres south.
