Bonus books auction boosts literacy drive and donations
The Pioneer News reports a thriving literacy program with 260 active accounts as of January 15. Top reading classes were Mr. Meunier's with 28 in November and Mrs. Reutzer's with 24 in December. Students earn $50 book bucks, and bottles or cans dropped at the library earn $100 extra credit. The initiative includes book ads, new titles like Lemon Aid Car Guide 1995, and supportive notes from parents about increased reading enthusiasm.
