Squamish to get assistance for flood protection
Environment Minister Stephen Rogers announced 750000 in aid to the District of Squamish for flood protection. The project follows zoning by law and a community plan, with 250000 raised to start work this winter. The funding targets immediate flood control needs and reflects local effort to build dykes over flood compensation. For more information contact Peter Brady of Water Management Branch.
