Chetwynd hosts a summer of conservation and community events
From June 1 to August 31 the district positions Chetwynd as a conservation leader with a Power Smart makeover prize. May brings hospital upgrades at Chetwynd General with digital x rays, rapid radiology links to Dawson Creek, and new printers. Multiple community items include ex-drug addict Randy Miller speaking, historical library tributes, flood risk notices for oil firms, Relay for Life funds surpassing 35 thousand, and the Chainsaw Carving Championship gaining international status.
