Council Report on Compensation and Health Workforce Recruitment
The Select Committee notes that the Ministry of Municipal Affairs regards compensation for the fiscal impact of the Fort Nelson Liard split as a matter for the parties to settle. It will not cover tax base redistribution but will cover planning and structural changes. A letter to the minister seeks transitional grants. The British Columbia Health Association invites community participation in a Vancouver recruitment fair for October 1987 to attract health workers to the region. Council forwards the notice to the Chetwynd Hospital Society.
