The Mayor notes higher property taxes due to the Peace River Regional District budget for the Chetwynd Recreation Centre. Operating costs jump from 2.59 to 3.86 million, driven by debt service, HVAC upgrades, and roof repairs, with reserves raised to 500k. Tax impact averages about $200 more per home, though Home Owner Grants offset the rise.
