Drunk father charged after Kamloops crash injures teens
In Kamloops a Merritt man, John Darren Thompson, 41, faces a dozen charges after his 1992 Jeep Cherokee plowed into a group of four youths on a Kamloops street. One teen, Gabe Barrett, suffered severe head trauma and chest injuries, while three others sustained serious injuries. Thompson had a suspended license and alcohol prohibition, and police say he blew twice the legal limit.
