Bioenergy plant chosen as preferred proponent in Chetwynd

WEM Ltd selected for a 5 to 10 MW bioenergy project using sawmill waste and logging residuals. A 20 year energy purchase agreement with BC Hydro is negotiated. Start up expected spring 2013. 8,000 homes powered and 13 permanent jobs created. Rashke pressed council for a support letter to BC Hydro.

Fort St. John man killed in Chetwynd rollover crash
