Everett Washington police arrested George Collins Jr. and his wife Katherine after the 8 year old Lee Crary was returned unharmed and the pair confessed to the kidnapping. Collins a Boeing riveter said the act began as a spur of the moment crime aided by his wife. The ransom note demanded 10000 dollars. The boy was found walking near Lake Stevens after a 3 day search and was later returned to Edmonds.
