Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev arrived in New York amid anti-Communist jeers as he stepped ashore from the Baltika for the United Nations General Assembly session. He pledged serious talks with President Eisenhower, noted the U.N. as a forum for disarmament, and read a 32 page statement while rain fell.
