Israelis End Lebanon Raid Return Home For Yom Kippur
Israeli forces completed a 32 hour search and destroy mission in Lebanon and returned to Israel to observe Yom Kippur. The army reported 150 guerrilla bases destroyed and about 60 militants killed with several prisoners taken. Six Israelis were wounded and three killed. Lebanese reports claimed 18 Israeli deaths and eight Lebanese soldiers killed with 12 wounded and 20 missing.
