A booby trapped package exploded at the Israeli Embassy in Kensington London killing Agriculture Attache Dr Ami Shachori in his early 40s. The parcel was mailed from Amsterdam and the attack follows heightened tensions after Munich. Police cordoned the area as explosives experts investigated.

Beir ut AP reports Maj. Richard Barrett 36 of Laramie Wyoming an assistant military attache at the U S Embassy Amman was arrested September 9 at the Deraa border crossing from Jordan into Syria. Diplomatic sources say no reason was given and efforts for his release have failed.
