Military Pay Boost Approved by House Armed Services

Floor of Residence Damaged by Fire
Firemen were called at 2 10 p m yesterday to extinguish a blaze in the flooring of a residence at 817 N Evergreen. Fire Chief John Erickson said a three by ten foot section of floor burned out with smoke damage. A family had moved in some furnishings but were not in occupancy. The fire originated near a floor furnace which apparently set fire to a rug.
