Explosion at Phillipsburg refinery kills driver
A tank truck driver from Thompson Transport Co. of McPherson, Alvin Wilson, was killed in a loading dock explosion at CRA oil refinery in Phillipsburg. Plant employee Gerald Randall of Phillipsburg was injured and later listed in fair condition after hospitalization. Fire was put out in twenty minutes and did not reach the main refinery.
