N I Jackson of Kansas City formerly of Chanute was arrested Sunday for operating under the influence after his car hit a parked vehicle owned by Wayne Sheldon in front of 102 E Pine. Parents Return Home To Find Child Dead
In Wheat Ridge Colorado Mr and Mrs William Gilbert returned from a Sunday drive to find their nine year old daughter Jean Anne dead from a self inflicted accidental gunshot. The shot came from a .22 rifle held by her brother Tommy sixteen who was preparing the rifle for target practice with his rifle club.
