SYRACUSE KAN June 16 1948 Delphos Burns 38 Wichita was convicted last night of first degree manslaughter in the death of his wife Ruth 26 in a motel here. He faces five to 21 years in prison and his attorney was given five days to appeal. Mrs Burns died from a punctured lung caused by broken ribs after a severe beating.
