The body of Roland DeVasher an appliance salesman for the Kansas City Power and Light Co was recovered from the Lake of the Ozarks. He had been missing since Sunday when last seen fishing from an outboard motor boat. The body was found in 100 feet of water. DeVasher lived in Johnson County Kansas.

Louisburg Kas James Russell Day 22 was killed when his car struck a bridge abutment and plunged into East Creek near Greenwood Jackson County. He was driving alone ahead of two friends including 17 year old Mike Provinge of Lake Lotwana. Provinge reported a curve on State Highway 150 as another car approached. Day swerved onto the shoulder and lost control. The body was recovered by a Raytown fire rescue crew.

Vernon Dent Charged With Traffic Violations After Plummer Road Crash
Vernon P. Dent of Earlton was held on charges from a two car collision on South Plummer Road Sunday. Accused by Trooper Dick Harbaugh of Iola of driving under the influence, operating with inadequate brakes, and driving with a suspended license. Hearing set for 4 p.m. in city court. Mrs. Glen Timmons and the Dents were hospitalized. Timmons and four Timmons children escaped injuries. Dent released from hospital today.

Farm Accident Fatal Near Windom Kansas
A 50 year old McPherson man Homer A Cooper was killed when crushed beneath the tractor he was using to drill wheat on a farm near Windom Kansas yesterday evening. The accident occurred while he worked the field alone. Cooper was identified by authorities and the incident is under investigation.
