Seaman LC Rudolph Wacht sprinted down the forward gangway to greet his wife Alma as the heavy cruiser St. Paul returned from Vietnam. A crowd of about 1,000 family members watched while Capt. Hugh G. Nott praised Wacht's ingenuity after the ship’s fourth combat tour.
