Floyd Allen 56, a Walnut native and stock foreman at Warehouse Grocery and Market in Tulsa, died Monday morning of a heart attack after being locked in a walk in refrigerator by a robber who fled with $6000. Four other employees were forced into the cooler but escaped when the door was kicked open. He is survived by his wife Lucille, two sisters Elnora and Ollie, and a brother Don. Funeral Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Smith Chapel Pittsburg with burial in Rosebank Cemetery near Mulberry.

A twin engine private plane crashed three miles north of Union City Oklahoma killing at least three people including George Skakel Jr. and his wife of Greenwich Connecticut. The flight originated from LaGuardia New York bound for Los Angeles with pilot Joe Warren Whitney and copilot John E Mcbride aboard.
