M. S. Lambert of 501 S. Santa Fe and Chester Bowman of R. 1 waived preliminary hearings in city court and were bound over to district court for felonious assault. They posted $1,000 bonds each. Minor Car Mishaps Leave Two Vehicles Damaged
At Main and Lincoln a car driven by George E. Holtzman collided with a parked vehicle owned by Jim Harshman causing damage to the right rear fender of Holtzman’s car. Holtzman was turning left when the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. in Wichita. A separate noon hour collision involved Florian M. Hofer and a truck driven by Virgil Collins, damaging Hofer’s right front fender and Collins’s left rear truck fender.

Officer Shot Run Over After Ticket Argument
Fort Worth Texas a motorcycle officer was shot in the abdomen and shoulder and run over twice by the motorist he had stopped for speeding. Hollis G Thom 40 of Handley Texas was charged with assault to murder after police chased him through traffic and he fired on the officer. A witness described the shooting and the attacker driving away, running over the officer. The truck contained a pistol shells a half pint vodka bottle and a pint of whisky.
