Police report collision at Main and Grant involving Knox vehicle
Right rear of a car driven by David Frank Knox 402 S Rutter was damaged Saturday when struck by a vehicle backing from the curb at Main and Grant. The Stone car was undamaged. Weekend guests of Mr and Mrs Ralph Reinhardt included Lt and Mrs Richard R Reinhardt Vance AFB Enid Okla and son Lou Reinhardt who will attend 4 H Roundup in Manhattan May 29 to June 2. Cottage Grove ladies aid will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs Glen Strack.

Burial in High Prairie cemetery with the casket at Cason Funeral Home Fredonia until noon.

Bruce Brigden son of Mrs. Virginia Brigden and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Taylor of Chanute was graduated magna cum laude from the College of Emporia. He was elected to the Athena Society, received the silver cup and gold medal, and won the Potter Prize for oratory and debate with a ten dollar honorarium. Brigden also earned honors for drama and active campus participation. Attending were his mother and fiancée Jane Churchill.
