Neosho Red Cross elects Milford Hall as chair in annual meeting
Milford Hall of Erie was elected chairman of the Neosho County Chapter of the American Red Cross at the annual membership meeting and quarterly board of directors meeting last night in the Red Cross offices. Jerry Steele became vice chairman and Mrs. Morris Pack was named secretary. Charles Ballou will serve as treasurer. New board members include Mrs. Leon Carroll and Mrs. Ed Ranz, with reelections for Cleo Dalton and Art Krone. The board accepted William Walters’s resignation as he moves from Chanute. A fall fund drive for areas outside Chanute was approved. Bloodmobile visits to Chanute on June 11 are planned, with a 120-pint quota. Additional reports highlighted swim program plans, gift enclosure cards for V.A. hospital patients, bed socks and bags for the V.A. hospital, baby layettes, cookies for Forbes AFB hospital, and nutcaps for the V.A. hospital. Home Service noted loans totaling $651.42 since July 1, 1963, and telephoning reports from Alaska earthquake activity. Eleven were present.
