Water skier dies after collision on Turtle Creek reservoir
Harry Henry, 22, of Topeka, was killed Sunday when he fell from his water skis and was struck by a boat on Turtle Creek reservoir in Manhattan. The crash involved two boats, one piloted by Keith Gay of Topeka and another with Kenneth Ormerod of Manhattan and Mr. and Mrs. Thad Brown. Riley County Sheriff Clarence Watson leads the investigation. Henry was a Washburn University student and son of Bernard and Mrs. Henry of Seneca.

Minor collisions reported during weekend traffic round up
Three minor traffic accidents were reported to police over the weekend. Roberta Greenwood said her foot slipped off the brake at Main and Evergreen causing a bump with no damage. Lester White reported a U turn collision at Central and Main with about 40 damage to a Summers car. Mr and Mrs Donaldson replied that backing up at 14th and Santa Fe caused little or no damage to a car behind theirs.
