Three Airmen Die In Denver B25 Crash At Lowry Field
A U S Air Force B25 crashed one mile east of Lowry Air Force Base today during a routine takeoff. The pilot and two crewmen were killed. A fourth crewman was critically injured and hospitalized. 15 Year Term In Check Case
Harold Lamphear pleaded guilty to a $20 no fund check in Erie district court and was sentenced to 15 years in the state penitentiary at Lansing under the habitual criminal statute. High Death Rate Blamed on Speed
C G Connor of the Texas Highway Patrol told the Oklahoma Safety Conference that turnpikes with a 70 mph limit, including the Turner Turnpike in Oklahoma and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, had death rates of 7.5 and 8.3 per 100 million miles. Fall From Hayrack Fatal for 15-Year-Old Student
Freddy Gale Bowman, 15, a Chase County Community High School freshman from near Strong City, died in an Emporia hospital after falling from a hayrack during a school picnic. Paratroopers Injured in Ft Sill Demonstration Drop
Seven members of the 82nd Airborne Division were hurt during a demonstration jump at Ft. Sill Oklahoma.
