Left Hand reports two white swans trapped by ice at Elks Lake until rescuers led by Fire Chief C. W. Brennan freed them Saturday morning. JayCee Flying Club offered free rides yesterday at the airport, carrying 145 passengers. over 200 riders in two days, with planes supplied by local pilots and services. The club plans Chanute Aviation Day on May 1 with a fly-in breakfast and Chamber of Commerce sponsorship.
