Two Garages Burn In Adjoining Blocks on Santa Fe
Two single stall garages burned in adjoining blocks on South Santa Fe. The first fire at 1416 S Santa Fe occurred at 6 52 p m yesterday and involved a vacant lot under sale contract owned by Mrs Beaulah Herrin of Tucson Arizona. Firefighters were told the blaze started from grass on the lot. The second fire occurred today at 1514 8 Santa Fe at 8 19 a m with a garage owned by Robert Ramsey believed to have started from sparks from a trash burner. Both structures were old and one stall. Herrin’s garage was insured. Ramsey’s insurance was with Lee Wasser. Ph 119 not Brennan said.

He and two other children had watched workmen burn brush piles and after being warned to leave the area he fell into the water and was found about half an hour later.
