Repeat Charge By Nickerson On Missiles
Army Col. John C. Nickerson Jr. continued to press that the Air Force would accept an inferior missile before buying the Army’s. He argued private industry was misleading the Air Force on missiles as the court-martial entered its fourth day amid rain. Nickerson has pleaded guilty to 15 counts for revealing secret data to outsiders in an effort to influence Sec. of Defense Wilson about the IRBM program. He maintained Wilson lacked full facts on the merits of the two services’ programs and said he was certain of his claim. The court soon recessed into secret session after his testimony.
