Six Die As Train Hits Crossing Victims Named
A Pennsylvania Railroad freight struck a car at a grade crossing near Hamilton Ohio early today killing all six occupants three men and three women. Coroner Garrett Boone identified three men as James Nease Franklin Ohio Jerry Stidham 30 Woll Coal Kentucky and Claude Raleigh 38 Miamisburg Ohio. One woman remained unidentified with a tattoo reading Leona on her left arm.

Two Continental Air Defense Command officers were killed when their T33 jet trainer crashed 19 miles east of Denver during approach to Denver Lowry AFB. Maj. James F. Sprinkle 39 and Maj. Royal E. Koons Jr. 34 were veterans of World War II and Korea. Koons left a wife and daughter, with parents in Kansas. Sprinkle hailed from San Fernando California.

A violent wind and rain storm hit eastern Kansas and western Missouri causing one death and multiple injuries. John T.
