Chanute police recovered Leonard Dean Brazil’s missing 1951 Buick within 20 minutes after he reported it missing. Officers tailing the car at about 90 mph along US 169 east of Bartton halted the vehicle and detained two construction workers and a 17-year-old Chanute youth, who claimed they were merely out for a ride.
