Misidentified landing lights nearly startle Chanute couple
A Neodesha resident and wife report a low flying multi engine plane using landing lights to view what looked like a landing strip along Leanna Road six miles northeast of Chanute. They pulled off as the craft skimmed past, missing them by feet. FAA said no reports of an incident. A Wesleyan Methodist Bible quiz team from Chanute won a Kansas Conference playoff in Wichita, defeating Abilene and Colorado Springs teams.
