Hair Length Sparks Suspension at Kansas Forestry Agency
Vic McLeran, managing editor of the commission's fish and game magazine, received a 15 day suspension for alleged hair length violations and insubordination under a March 31 1970 policy. He argues the regulation is unreasonable and has appealed to the Civil Service Review Board while awaiting further action. The case followed directive from Dick Wettersten the new director and involved discussions with Leroy Lyon.
