Eleven Die As Bus And Truck Crash On Highway
A Greyhound bus traveling from Houston to New Orleans collided with a heavy lumber truck near Vinton Louisiana. Eleven people were killed and 28 injured, with the bus driver in critical condition and the truck driver killed. Fort Scott Kansas. A 51 year old man Harlan Guffey was shot in the abdomen with a .38 caliber pistol and seriously wounded early today. His former wife Velma Crowley 42 was arrested on a charge of assault with intent to kill. Chief Louis Robinson said Crowley sought Guffey’s help finding a daughter who had not returned home. They found the daughter and when Guffey began striking the girl Crowley fired.
