Survivors Rescued As World Splendor Sinks

Accidental rifle fatal to Paola boy
Michael Nichols ten died in Paola Kansas from an accidental .22 rifle discharge. The weapon carried by his fourteen year old stepbrother Walter Hodge discharged as he turned, hitting Michael in the forehead near their home eight miles north of Paola. He was the son of Mrs Louise Walker.
