McMillan Converts South Mound School to Family Home
The McMillan family moved into their remodeled South Mound School in May 1969 after buying the building once used as a community house. Owner J D McMillan redesigned the two large classrooms into living spaces while retaining original windows and features with added insulation, wiring, and air conditioning. Their children include David at Kansas State Pittsburg, Debra studying X ray tech in Kansas City, and Tim.
