Perry district consolidates as new school dedication Sunday
The new Perry consolidated school six miles east of town will be dedicated Sunday afternoon with a 2:30 p.m. service led by Woodson County superintendent Margie Englebrecht. Visitors may tour from 2 to 5 p.m. The facility includes two classrooms a music room a play room and a kitchen. About 40 pupils are expected for the coming year taught by Milton Phillips and Mrs. Pierce Long. The district formed from Hopewell Center Ridge Maple Grove Prairie Flower and Mound Valley. Construction began last summer delayed by steel delivery. Board members include Omer Stoll Don Ellison and Lewis Manderscheid with Joel Larson and William Leonard as honorary members.
