Tornado Kills Five In Drumright Beats Planned Wedding
Funeral services were held for Gloria Bevel 17 and her sister Virginia 18 and their parents after a Drumright tornado struck Monday night. John Hallman, who planned to wed Gloria next week, arrived with wedding rings but the wedding will not occur. Hallman was injured in the same disaster which killed five people.

Missionary Reverend Robin Cobble Dies in Africa
The Rev. Robin R. Cobble, longtime Christian Church missionary, was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Belgian Congo on a Saturday. He and his family had lived in Chanute and were slated to return to the United States next December on a mission leave. A memorial service is planned for 2:30 p.m. on April 13 at the Chanute Christian Church.
